Want to be a part of CASU E-Board?

 

Members are only eligible to run for these office positions if he/she has attended one GIM and at least three additional meetings, events, and/or functions during the current year

 

 

Secretary (1)

  • The Secretary shall record minutes at all Executive Board meetings and distribute minutes to the Executive Board no later than 24 hours after the meeting was held.

  • He/she is responsible for maintaining and updating the organization membership listserv.

  • He/she must keep records of all members who attend CASU events and functions.

  • He/she is responsible for scheduling CASU events and reserving rooms and venues for all events and functions.

  • He/she is shall relay all messages and updates to members and the general body through emails.

 

 

Treasurer (1)

  • The Treasurer are responsible for overseeing all CASU related financial transactions.

  • He/she acts as a liaison and works in conjunction with ASU Financial Vice President.

  • He/she shall work with the President and Vice President in creating each semester’s budget.

  • He/she shall make regular reports of status of allocated budget in Excel.

  • He/she is responsible for processing proper payments of CASU expenses in a timely manner.

  • He/she is responsible for all monetary affairs directly relating to CASU.

 

 

Social Chairs (2)

  • The Social Chairs are responsible for planning events such as General Interest Meetings (GIMs), social events, etc., that encourage member interactions with each other and the university community.

  • They are responsible for planning at least two GIMs and one event per month for each semester.

  • They are responsible for maintaining and coordinating the Big Sib/Lil Sib Mentor Program.

  • They shall also exhibit great social skills to be able to communicate with members of the organization.

 

 

Cultural Chairs (2)

**MUST ATTEND LUNAR NEW YEAR BANQUET**

  • The Cultural Chairs (1-2) are responsible for organizing events pertaining to the education of Chinese culture.

  • They are responsible for dealing with all matters of heritage, custom, and tradition. They are responsible for planning at least two cultural events for each semester

  • They shall also collaborate with ASU or other cultural organizations such as the Hong Kong Exchange Square in coordinating the Lunar New Year Banquet in the spring semester.

 

 

Events Coordinators (2)

**MUST ATTEND CHINA NIGHT**

  • The Events Coordinators are responsible for overseeing all components of CASU-sponsored events, including reaching out to potential performers, assigning practice/performance slots, and serving as the liaison between performers and CASU.

  • They are also responsible for coordinating China Night in the spring semester and all matters that deal with the event.

 

 

Publicity Chairs (2)

  • The Publicity Chairs are responsible for advertising CASU and all CASU related events through various means of media including but are not limited to the following: flyers, posters, B-line, Facebook, etc.

  • They are responsible for the design and creativity of CASU flyers, programs and tickets for events such as China Night, Lunar New Year Banquet and/or other events hosted by CASU.

 

 

Historian (1)

  • The Historian is responsible for documenting and recording all of CASU's events and performances (including but are not limited to Social and Cultural events, China Night, Lunar New Year Banquet, etc) via photography, filmography, and/or blogging.

  • He/she must upload these pictures and videos to our facebook page or any other appropriate website. They are also responsible for creating PowerPoint presentations at needed events.
